About

About Muse

Muse turns the images you already save into a shop built around your taste. Fashion search assumes you can describe what you want. Most of the time you cannot. You have a screenshot, a saved pin, a photo of someone on the street, and no words that would find it.

So Muse reads the picture instead. Send one image and it works out the aesthetic behind it, names that aesthetic, and matches it to real, in stock pieces you can actually buy. It is free, it needs no account, and it takes about a minute.

How it works

  1. You send one or more images: saved pins, screenshots, photos of things you would wear.
  2. Muse reads what they have in common. Silhouette, palette, texture, mood.
  3. It names the aesthetic and searches partner brand catalogs for pieces that share those signals.
  4. You get a shop. Every item links to the brand's own product page.

Muse currently recognises 14 named aesthetics, each with its own style guide covering the definition, the palette and the pieces that define it.

How Muse makes money

Muse earns an affiliate commission on some of the products it links to. When it does, the commission comes out of the retailer's marketing budget and the price you pay is exactly the same as it would be going direct.

Many of the products on Muse are not part of any affiliate arrangement, and we earn nothing when you click through to those. They appear because they match your aesthetic, which is the only reason anything appears. Brands cannot pay for placement, and commission rates never move a product up or down in your results. The full detail is in the affiliate disclosure.

Who runs Muse

Muse is operated by Muse Studio LLC, a limited liability company registered in Michigan, United States. It is a small independent team, not a marketplace or a retailer. We do not hold inventory, take payment for orders, or ship anything. Every purchase happens on the brand's own site under their terms.
