Disclosure: My Stylist participates in affiliate marketing programmes and earns a commission on qualifying purchases made through links on this site. This does not affect the price you pay or the products we recommend. Product recommendations are generated algorithmically from your aesthetic profile — not from sponsorship, paid placement, or brand relationships.

How Affiliate Links Work

When you click a "Shop at [Brand]" button on My Stylist, you are redirected through an affiliate tracking link before arriving at the retailer's website. This link contains a unique identifier that allows the affiliate network to attribute any resulting purchase to My Stylist. If you make a qualifying purchase within the cookie window (see below), we receive a commission.

This commission comes from the retailer's marketing budget — it does not increase the price you pay. You pay exactly the same amount as if you had navigated directly to the retailer's website.

Cookie Windows & Commission Rates

Affiliate cookies allow networks to track purchases back to our referral. Cookie windows and commission rates vary by brand and network, but typical ranges are:

Cookie window: 7–30 days from your initial click
Commission rate: 3–15% of the qualifying order value (brand-dependent)

Commissions are paid to My Stylist only after purchases are confirmed (i.e., not returned or cancelled) and after the network's validation period.

How Recommendations Are Made

Product recommendations on My Stylist are generated entirely by our machine learning pipeline. The process is:

You upload images representing your aesthetic.
Our vision model generates embeddings (numerical representations) of your images.
We compare those embeddings against our product catalog using vector similarity search.
The closest matches are surfaced as your personalised shop.

We do not boost, demote, or otherwise alter recommendations based on commission rates or brand relationships. Brands cannot pay to appear in your results.
